• Wikimania is a yearly international conference of the Wikimedia movement.
Since 2005, Wikimedia has organized an annual conference dedicated to the Wikimedia projects, as well as wikis and free knowledge in general. The previous conferences were held in Frankfurt/Main (Germany 2005), Boston (USA 2006), Taipei (Taiwan 2007), Alexandria (Egypt 2008), Buenos Aires (Argentina 2009), Gdańsk (Poland 2010) and Haifa (Israel 2011).
The eighth annual conference will be held on July 12th – 14th, 2012 in Washington, D.C., USA (Hacking days will take place on July 10th – 11th, 2012).
