You have reached the user page of Swaroop Rao. My home is the English Wikipedia (where I am administrator), and I am very involved with Sanskrit Wikipedia (where I am bureaucrat-administrator) and its sister project Sanskrit Wiktionary (where I am administrator). I am also a member of the OTRS. Besides online work, in real life, I handle many outreach projects in Bangalore, India. I am a member of the Wikimedia India chapter and chairman of its Sanskrit Special Interest Group.

I am interested in hearing about community building and editor retention initiatives taken by other Wikimedia projects, among other things. Most of the talks/presentations which I intend to attend are given by non-Indians. Hey, if I wanted to hear about Indian projects, I wouldn't go all the way to D.C for that; I don't want to listen to what I already know!
