Wikimania 2012
Hi, I wonder whether you can take a look at my abstract at Wikimania 2012 and if my article is selected, I would like to invite you for my talk (I have no idea about the fate of my paper at present :) )--C.R.Selvakumar (talk) 23:37, 18 March 2012 (UTC)
- Looks like a well built paper, and although I don't do much business with Tamil projects, I would be interested in seeing it - however my attendance is dependent on my scholarship application which should be decided within the next 12 days or so. Make sure someone eventually adds it to Schedule/Submission review so it doesn't slip through the net, as this should get through. CT Cooper · talk 17:13, 19 March 2012 (UTC)
- Thank you so much for your support and for your suggestions! --C.R.Selvakumar (talk) 19:52, 19 March 2012 (UTC)
Marking submissions as rejected
I've just seen that you marked {{Rejected submission}} for my presentation, which may be factually correct as the Conference is now over, but did you do it on your own or were instructed by any of the organisers? Hindustanilanguage (talk) 06:48, 25 July 2012 (UTC)
- In short, I did it myself, although I'm sure the organizers are aware of it - see Feedback#Handling of failed submissions for what caused the change. I took the liberty of emptying Category:Under Review, which involved edits to several dozen presentations, as it was clearly wrong given that the conference was now over, and the record should be clear on what was accepted and what wasn't. A rejected submission, such as my own, is defined as one that was not withdrawn and went through submission review, but was not placed in the schedule as part of the conference. If you think another template is more appropriate for your presentation, such as withdrawn, feel free to add that instead. Note that I'm not happy with the wording of the rejected template, and have asked it to be changed - see Feedback#Handling of failed submissions. You are welcome to participate. DONE As per your suggestion. Hindustanilanguage (talk) 06:33, 26 July 2012 (UTC).
