Hacking on maps / OSM stuff, including:

OSM gadgets ant Wikipedia-related tools, including:

- http://wiki.openstreetmap.org/wiki/WIWOSM
Production level OSM rendering for these gadgets, so they can be deployed more widely, and for mobile use.
Tools to support our international "Wiki Loves Monuments (historic sites)" competition which is in September. This includes a mobile app, database of historic places, maps, and jury/voting tools. (http://wikilovesmonuments.eu)

This is more an event for insider. We will take a look how we can improve maps in Wikipedia, how we can use OpenStreetMap data in new ways and how to connect both projects.

Topics of the developer workshop could be:

Where we want to go with maps and coordinates in Wikipedia?

What's the aim of maps in Wikipedia? Talk about cartographic quality.
Compare dschwen's WikiMiniAtlas with kolossos's OpenStreetMap-Plugin.
Bring more Wikipedia-Tags into OSM for WIWOSM
Help to translate places in OSM to get multilingual maps.
What's with new developments like Tilemill? Can we support mbtiles as a fileformat at Commons as support for our Map_workshop?
Make some concepts for new developments to improve maps in Wikipedia.
